I'm Jess Wiederspan, a parent, researcher, and special education advocate. My approach combines firsthand experience navigating the special education system with a background in social work, sociology, and more than 20 years of qualitative research examining how policies and institutions shape families' lives, particularly the barriers they face in accessing resources and support.

My approach is trauma-aware, neurodiversity-affirming, and rooted in the belief that kids do well when they can.

I believe families deserve to be heard, children deserve to be understood, and every child deserves the support they need to thrive.
